Your score, your report, and a treatment plan.Within 24 hours of the visit, we send you a link to your report. You get your water safety score: a single number from 0 to 100 measured against UK and WHO drinking-water safety limits, built from all 9 indicators and weighted by health significance. Alongside it: a written summary of what we found, what it means for your household, and a clear plan covering what to act on, what to watch, and what to ignore. We don't sell filters or take commission. Our job is to help you make the right decisions for your family, with the right information in front of you.

Critical health
Lead · Bacteria
The two indicators that can cause meaningful harm even in small amounts, and the two you most need to know about in any UK home. Lead leaches from older pipework. Bacteria should not be present in drinking water at all.
Moderate health
Nitrate / Nitrite · Chlorine · Fluoride
Indicators where exposure levels matter, and where what's coming out of your tap can vary by region, season, and source. Particularly worth knowing if you have young children or are pregnant.

Indicators that shape how your water tastes, how it interacts with your plumbing, and how corrosive it is to your pipes. Hard water is the quiet cost most households don't see. Limescale shortens the life of kettles, boilers, washing machines and dishwashers, and reduces heating efficiency year-round. UK research has also linked harder water to drier skin and higher rates of childhood eczema, and it's widely associated with drier, more brittle hair.
Every home is different. The age of the building, the pipes, the street you're on. A generic regional report doesn't tell you what's actually coming out of your tap, so we test at source. The answer is genuinely about your family's water, not an average.
We'd rather spend 30 minutes with you in your kitchen than send you a kit in the post. You get to ask questions in real time. Hugh gets to see the house, the plumbing, the softener, the filter jug on the counter. It makes the recommendations better.
